FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

You may find our FAQ’s helpful in answering some questions you may have about our hotel facilities, services and amenities. If you don’t find your answer here, please feel free to fill out our Contact Us form or call us at 1-800-327-5476. We look forward to assisting you.  

General

  • What is your check-in/check-out time?

    Check-in time: 4:00 PM

    Check-out time Monday - Saturday: 11am and Sunday is 10am.

  • Do you offer express check-out?

    Yes.

  • How can a guest contact you?

  • What is the minimum age to check-in?

    You must be 21 years old to check-in.

  • What payments are accepted at the hotel?

    We accept the following forms of payment:

    • -Diners Club
    • -Discover
    • -MasterCard
    • -Visa
    • -Cash

    If you are paying in cash a credit card is still required at check in. This is secure a daily deposit of $75.00 for incidentals. At check-out whatever remaining amount was not used that amount will be released back to your credit card. This may take 5-10 business days depending on your banking/financial institution.

  • Can baggage be stored at the hotel?

    Yes, our bellmen will be happy to store your bags. Additional fee may apply.

  • Can you store larger items, like bicycles?

    No, we are not able to store items this large.

  • Are there safety deposits at the front desk?

    No, instead there are in-room safes available.

  • Can you receive and hold packages for guests? Any limitations?

    Packages can be held for 24 hours at no cost.

    The Newport Beachside is pleased to receive deliveries that our guests order online. Please have packages marked "Hold for Guest Arrival” + date of arrival in the address box.

    There is a charge $3.00 per package per day after the first day, if the package is over 5lbs, we charge $5.00 per package per day.

    NOTE: We will not be responsible for any lost or damaged shipments. If you receive tracking confirmation, please save that information. Shipments will only be given to the person they are addressed to. Identification will be required. The maximum amount of time we will hold guest shipments for pickup is 14 days. If deliveries / shipments are not claimed 14 days after we have received them, we will return them to the sender.

  • What languages are spoken at the hotel?

    English, Spanish, Portuguese, Creole

  • Are there any establishments that will deliver food to your hotel?

    Our Concierge has a full list of restaurants that will deliver.

  • Where can you get coffee or tea if it's not available in-room?

    At our in house Café- Cappuccino's.

  • Do you offer a Manager's Reception?

    At this time we do not have a Manager's Reception.

  • Is breakfast complimentary?

    Breakfast is not complimentary.  Breakfast is an al a carte menu.

  • Is there a bar/lounge on-site?

    Yes, there is a Lobby Bar and Kitchen 305.

  • Do you have any restaurants on the property?

    Yes, we have on-site restaurants.

  • Where is breakfast served and at what times?

    Breakfast is served in the main lobby at Kitchen 305.
    Breakfast served daily.
    Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • What is offered at breakfast?

    We offer a breakfast la carte menu.

  • Are breakfast vouchers required? How and when are these given out?

    No. They are only required when breakfast is pre-selected through your reservation process.

  • Do your restaurants have special dietary menus?

    We offer the following specialty menus: Vegetarian – Vegan – Gluten Free

    Children’s menus also available for ages 10 & Under

  • Do children eat free at any restaurant, or any meal?

    No, 10-year-old children and younger pay for the buffet breakfast when accompanied with parents for $8.95.  We also have children’s a la carte selections for all meals. Please see your server for details.

  • Do you offer room service? If yes, what hours?

    Currently we are not offering rooms service until further notice, however a grab and go option is available from any of our food and beverage outlets 

  • What restaurants can you recommend nearby?

    Our Concierge has a full list of restaurants nearby.

  • Are there any establishments that will deliver food to your hotel?

Parking

  • Does your hotel provide parking?

    Yes, we offer Valet & Self-parking 

    Due to Covid Valet Parking is currently suspended.

  • What are the fees for self and valet parking?

    Due to Covid Valet Parking is currently suspended. 

    Self-parking $25+tax per day

    Valet-parking $30+tax per day

  • Do you offer unlimited in and out parking privileges?

    Yes, we offer unlimited in and out privileges.

  • Is secure parking available?

    Yes, we do have secure parking but we are not responsible for any missing items.

  • Are there other parking options near the hotel?

    No, there are no other parking options.

Fees

  • What is the resort charge and what does it include?

    The resort fee is $25 per day per room (local city taxes will be applied).  

    The resort fee includes access to the beach, beach towels, a maximum of two beach chairs per day, incoming faxes, voicemail, local calls, and fitness center. Additional beach chairs, cabanas, & umbrellas can be rented for an additional price.

  • Are there any other mandatory fees?

    No, we do not have any other mandatory fees at the resort.

  • Can I have an early check in or a late check out

    Guests may request an early check in and/or a late check out by contacting the hotel directly. Please note that these requests are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed prior to arrival.

    Should the hotel be able to fulfill this request, our early check in fee is $200 per guestroom and our late check out fee is $150 per guestroom based on availability.

    Early check-in ensures that your room is available before the hotel check in time of 4:00pm local hotel time. 

    Late check out is extended until 4:00pm local hotel time.  Any late check out after 4:00pm will be required to pay for a full night stay based on the prevailing rate for that day. 

Smoking

  • Is the hotel smoke-free?

    Yes, the hotel is 100% smoke-free.
    There is a $200 smoking purification fee.

  • Do you have non-smoking rooms?

    Yes, all of our rooms are non-smoking.

  • Are you 100% non-smoking?

    Yes, we are 100% non-smoking.

  • Do you have any designated smoking guest rooms?

    No, all of our guest rooms are non-smoking.

  • Does the hotel offer designated smoking areas?

    Yes, we have designated smoking areas.

Pet Policy

  • Do you have a pet policy?

    Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort does accept pets no larger than 40 lbs. There is a $100 non-refundable fee per pet for the additional cleaning that is necessary after a pet occupies a room. 

  • Is there a fee or deposit for service animals?

    No. Neither a deposit nor a surcharge is required for service animals. However, the hotel may charge a guest if a service animal causes damages to the hotel guestroom or comon areas.

  • What is defined as a service animal?

    The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. If they meet this definition, animals are considered service animals under the ADA regardless of whether they have been licensed or certified by a state or local government.

    Service animals perform some of the functions and tasks that the individual with a disability cannot perform for him or herself. Guide dogs are one type of service animal, used by some individuals who are blind. This is the type of service animal with which most people are familiar. But there are service animals that assist persons with other kinds of disabilities in their day-to-day activities. Some examples include:

    Alerting persons with hearing impairments to sounds.

    Pulling wheelchairs or carrying and picking up things for persons with mobility impairments.

    Assisting persons with mobility impairments with balance.

    A service animal is not a pet.

  • Is an emotional support or comfort animal considered a service animal?

    Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA. Other species of animals, whether wild or domestic, trained or untrained, are not considered service animals either. ... A doctor's letter does not turn an animal into a service animal. As such there is a fee for emotional support and comfort animals. Please reffer to the pet policy for additional fees.

  • Is there a business center at the hotel?

    No, we do not have a business center at the hotel, but we do have a computer availablie at the concierge desk for guest usage

  • What amenities do you have available in your guest rooms?

    Yes, guests can request these items and they can be purchased on-site.

  • Is there a fitness center on-site?

    Yes, we have a fitness center in the lower lobby.

  • Are there spa services on-site?

    Yes, we have a full service salon and spa on-site, Seven Seas Spa & Salon. 

  • What hours is the concierge available?

    Concierge sevices are available at the front desk .

  • Is there a tour desk available to book tours/excursions?

    The concierge can help make arrangements and offer promotions.

  • Is there laundry on-site or a laundry service?

    We have laundry facilities on-site.  The washer costs $1.50 and the dryer costs $1.25.  

  • Is there a dry cleaning service available?

    No we are currently not offering this service.

  • Does your hotel offer Currency Exchange?

    We do not offer currency exchange but there is a bank across the street from the hotel.

  • Is there a doctor available at the hotel?

    We have VR Doc Stop through Memorial North Health Center/Hospital. Please see our Concierge & Reception team.  

  • How far is the nearest hospital from the hotel?

    Aventura Hospital & Medical Center is 10 minutes away.

  • Are there shops at the hotel?

    Yes!

  • What beauty facilities are available at the hotel?

    We have the Seven Seas Spa & Salon on-site. They can be reached at 305.749.2100.

  • Do you have vending machines, kiosks, markets, sundry shop, etc.?

    Yes, we have vending machine on-site.

  • Can I cater a small meeting or group in my room?

  • Do you offer banquet facilities, catering and/or event services?

    Yes, we have ballroom space, outdoor event space and we provide catering for events.  Please contact our catering department directly at (305) 949-1300.

  • Do you host weddings on-site?

    Yes, we are able to host weddings at the hotel.  We can host both indoor and outdoor weddings. Please contact our catering department directly at (305) 949-1300.

  • Do you host Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16, Reunions, Other Cultural Events, Business Conferences, Corporate Meetings, Holiday Parties?

  • Is there a car rental on-site?

  • Is car/limo service available?

    You can ask the concierge to make arrangements for you.

  • Shuttles – are they complimentary, do you need reservations, and where do they go?

    Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort does not provide or offer shuttle service, however the City of Sunny Isles Beach offers complimentary shuttle service. For more information about times, rules, pick and and drop off points please visit the Sunny Isles Beach website under transportation. https://www.sibfl.net/sibshuttle/

  • Is there transportation available to/from the airport?

    We feature a variety of transportation options for your conveniance.

    Yes, you can make requests when booking.

  • Do you have accessibility equipment for the deaf?

    yes, we do have equipment for the deaf. The hotel is equiped with TTY Machines

  • Do you have rooms with bathtubs?

    Yes, we do.

  • Do you have rooms with a washer and dryer?

    Our rooms do not have washers and dryers but we do have laundry facilities on-site.

  • Does the hotel offer allergy friendly guest rooms?

    Unfortunately, we do not have allergy friendly guest rooms available.

  • Do you offer king size beds?

    Yes, we have king size beds in our guest rooms.

  • Can a room location/specific room be requested during reservation?

    Yes, you can request a specific room location and type when making your reservation.

  • Do you offer family and/or adjoining rooms?

    Yes, we do offer adjoining and connecting rooms.

  • Are all rooms accessible by an elevator?

    Most rooms are accessible by an elevator with the exception of rooms on the second floor which are available only by use of stairs.

  • Do you have roll-a-way beds available?

    Yes, we offer roll-a-way beds for a charge of $35.

  • Can a guest staying at the hotel have access to the Pier?

    Yes they can. For guests that are staying at the hotel the fee to access the Pier is waived. You will need show proof of hotel occupancy at the Pier point of entrance. Fishing is also available at a reduced fee of $3.00 per person with proof of hotel occupancy

  • Can guest not staying at the hotel have access to the Pier?

    Yes they can for a small fee.

    • $2.00 per person to fish with valid Sunny Isles Beach Resident ID Card
    • $2.00 per person admission to pier without fishing (FREE for Sunny Isles Beach Resident ID Cardholders!)

Children's Services

  • Are baby cots available for the rooms?

    Yes, we have baby cots available with no additional charge.

  • Are high chairs available in the restaurants?

    Yes, the restaurants can provide high chairs.

  • Is babysitting service available?

    No, we do not offer babysitting services.

  • Are there any free meals for children?

    No, we do not offer free meals for children.
