Griffin Anthony to Peform Live Music
Kitchen 305 at Newport Beachside Hotel &
Resort has increasingly become a hub for locals looking for an alternative to the South Beach and
Las Olas nightlife. Their new entertainment
program celebrates live music and has a great
vibe — the space is conducive to sit-down dining,
bar service and bottles without being
pretentious or trashy, it strikes a great balance
between style and comfort.
On Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 8:30 p.m., New
York native and South Florida resident Griffin
Anthony willbring a personable tone and relaxed
acoustic feeling to the Sunny Isles venue (16701
Collins Avenue). Influenced by Stevie Ray
Vaughan, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder and
Jimmy Hendrix, Attic Records claims that Griffin
“is definitely worth a listen to”. This event is
free and open to the public.
Historically known for its pristine oceanfront
settings, the Newport Beachside Hotel &
Resort is a family-owned and operated hotel that
recently expanded its administration team and
completed a 2-year renovation of the resort’s
public areas. Enhancements include a
contemporary design renovation to more than 18,000-square-feet of event space, which
includes sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and ten special function rooms. A
transformation from old to new is also apparent with the facelift of the historic Newport Pub
turned Kitchen 305, as well as an in-style pool deck outfitted with contemporary patio
furniture, travertine tiles and tiki bars that have LED lighting and Italian granite countertops.

A $1,000 wedding (no joke!)

Calling all brides on a budget: I just got word that the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort in Sunny Isles Beach is offering a beachfront wedding package for just $1,000. The package includes a sunset ceremony on the beach, a three-course meal for the couple and ten wedding guests at the resort’s Kitchen 305 restaurant, wedding cake, a corsage and boutonniere, an officiant, and a one-night hotel stay. This offer may not fit the bill if you’re hosting a bigger bash, but it does go to show how properties are lowering rates and offering more affordable wedding packages to entice couples to book. So the lesson learned? Don’t be afraid to negotiate.
