Art Deco Weekend
This festival celebrates the National Art Deco Historic District in Miami Beach and has more than 80 programmed events including art exhibits, musical performances, lectures, films, street theater, parades, antique auto displays, artists, merchandise vendors and a variety of culinary offerings. It takes place along Ocean Drive, between 5th and 15th Streets which become pedestrian-only for this event.


Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival
This event presents some of the top food and wine experts in the world, including Food Network TV personalities like Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart and Guy Fieri. Among the highlights of the four-day food and wine festival are wine tastings, gourmet dinners, seminars, cooking demonstrations, tributes and the Food Network Awards Show.

Miami International Boat Show
This event features more than 3,000 boats and 2,000 exhibitors from all over the globe. Preview what’s new in boating and experience fun and education on the water. From the latest in powerboats, sailboats and engines to cutting-edge marine electronics and accessories to the best in nautical gifts, services and apparel, it’s the ideal shopping destination for every boater and offers entertainment for all ages. It takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, as well as Miamarina at Bayside and Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center.


Carnaval on the Mile
This annual music festival features a fusion of jazz and funk combined with art, wine pavilions, gourmet foods and children’s activities. Enjoy one mile of free entertainment, along Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables, with non-stop performances on several musical stages.

Calle Ocho Festival
A grand celebration of Hispanic culture along famous Southwest 8th Street. Known as the world’s largest street party, this festival spans 23 city blocks filled with musical stages, youth sites, folkloric sites and food vendors.

Sony Open Tennis
Each spring this event brings the greatest tennis players in the world to the Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne. The Sony Open field features several Grand Slam champions, including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams.
With such a tremendous player field one might forget that the two-week combined event is more than just tennis. It has become the standard for first-class sporting events. High fashion, great food, fabulous shopping and celebrity musical performances have made the Sony Open the most glamorous stop on tour. The tournament site has something for everyone to enjoy.

Funkshion: Fashion Week Miami Beach
This is a four day long platform for innovative designers who are emerging on the Miami and international fashion scenes. New and emerging designers showcase their cutting edge designs in venues around Miami Beach. Funkshion is a thrice-yearly event (October, March and July) and is free to the public.


Miami Beach Polo World Cup
This event brings the “sport of kings” to the shores of South Beach for three days every year during April. First held in 2005, the event features an international lineup of competition, with polo teams coming from as far away as Argentina, Brazil and Germany to compete for the La Martina Trophy.
All Miami Beach Polo World Cup polo matches are held directly on the beach— making the South Florida polo tournament “the world’s largest and most prestigious Polo Tournament on the Beach.”

Great Taste of the Grove Food & Wine Festival
Attendees can sample small tastes from more than 20 of Coconut Grove’s top restaurants in the three giant “Great Tasting Tents” for typically $1-$8 per small plate. There is an admission cost for this event and usually lasts for 7 to 8 hours, starting at noon.


Miami Fashion Week
This event focuses on the clothes that make sense to show in Miami – resort wear. Miami has always been a resort wear kind-of –town. We lounge in bikinis year around and visitors can pack a book bag with two bathing suits and a cover-up and make it last a weekend. Even dressing up in Miami is a resort kind-of affair.


Miami/Bahamas Goombay Festival
This three-day festival is held throughout Coconut Grove during the first week of June and offers authentic food and music from the islands.


International Mango Festival
This delicious festival is held at Fairchild Tropical Gardens during the second weekend in July. Mango smoothies, chutney, sweets… even a mango-themed brunch made by celeb chefs that must be booked in advance online; people bid crazy amounts at a mango auction. This is a must see and taste!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim
This fashion show is presented annually at the historic Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. Timed to coincide with the swimwear industry’s largest trade show, MBFW Swim provides a world-class runway platform for designers to launch swimwear and resort collections and gain exposure with the national and international fashion, style, and news media.


Miami Spice Restaurant Month
Dinner at Nobu for 30 bucks? Absolutely; all is possible during Restaurant Month. To spice up business during the summer, many top Miami restaurants offer extravagant meals at reasonable prices.


National Red Bull Flugtag – Miami
Held at different waterfront venues each year, this event marks the end of summer. The contest consists of amateur aviator teams who build human powered flying contraptions that crash into the waters at the end and sometimes from the very beginning of their race. Judges award points and prices on creativity, showmanship and distance flown.

Festival Miami
This event is held yearly at the University of Miami Gusman Concert Hall. I spans 4 to 6 weeks starting in mid September and features concerts by global musicians.


Miami / Broward One Carnival
This event is held at the Sun Life Stadium and puts on display over 20 masquerade bands and 6 steel bands parading and competing for “Band of the Year” bragging rights, the streets of Miami Gardens will be adorned with beautiful, colorful and intricate costumes along with the infectious musical sounds of soca. You’ll benefit from live concerts throughout the day, Caribbean food and drinks, parades and much more!

South Miami Art Festival
Art from 170 juried artists around the country take over Sunset Drive in South Miami during this two-day festival which also features music, food & drink. Held yearly, during the first weekend in November.

The Great Grove Bed Race
In the mood for some mattress mayhem? Perhaps even a little bed-on collision? Then set your alarm for The Great Grove Bed Race. Homemade beds will race through the streets of Coconut Grove, with awards given for speed, theme, creativity and décor. This is pure FUN!!!

Miami International Auto Show
You don’t have to be shopping for a new car to enjoy this event; there’s no better place to compare the latest and greatest in auto technology from the biggest names in the industry. Car enthusiasts, families, shoppers and tech-geeks alike enjoy the grandiose displays of cars, trucks and SUVs from more than 40 of the world’s top auto manufacturers at the Miami Beach Convention Center over ten days in November.

NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend
All three of NASCAR’s premier racing series crowns Champions during NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend, including the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Tricks Series. The events are held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and features top drivers,
Homestead-Miami Speedway annually produces one of the most thrilling races given the track’s multiple lines of racing on its 1.5-mile banked oval. In 2012, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship saw 19 lead changes an average race speed of more than 142 mph. In 2011, the 400-mile contest had a race record 26 lead changes.


Art Basel
Inarguably, Art Basel is the globe’s most comprehensive, contemporary art fair. The art fair is an anticipated event for big name art world players and the jet-set crowd looking to bask in Miami’s warm weather and party vibe in early December.
Technically, Art Basel refers to the singular fair by that name held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, but the spirit of Art Basel lives in venues big and small throughout the city who hosts satellite fairs and events. The Convention Center space is only the beginning of what goes on during the whirlwind week of art and parties that’s perfectly suited for Miami.

King Mango Strut Parade
The King Mango Strut is the most fun event Miami has to offer, full of irreverent, creative and wacky people and lots of opportunity to make fun of everything and anything. The parade route begins at the corner of Commodore Plaza, and Main Highway in Coconut Grove. After the strut, stick around for entertainment and bands playing all over the Grove.
